JUNE 15^TH, 16^TH and 17^TH 2009

The National Men’s Health Week will kick off at Raphael Health Center on June 15^th, 2009! The purpose of Men’s Health Week is to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys.

MONDAY, TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY: Includes Men’s Health Week highlights and information, with the focus on preventive care. Local agencies will be stationed in our waiting area to help apply for health coverage and also to provide information regarding a large number of other service organizations available to you!

All men are welcome! Bring your fathers, grandfathers, sons, brothers, uncles, and male associates so they can take the steps to improve their health and prevent disease. When men take the simplest steps to improve their health, the results can be significant and everyone can benefit.

Our priority is to encourage men to make their health a priority for a longer, healthier, and happier life.

WHO: Men in the community who are uninsured and do not have a Primary Care Provider

WHERE: Raphael Health Center

401 E. 34^th Street [on the corner of Central Avenue and E 34^th Street]

WHAT: MONDAY, TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY: Men’s Health

Screening including:

· Prostate screening

· Diabetes testing

· HIV testing

· Dental screening

· Other preventative services

COST: FREE for those new to the Raphael Health Center. Current patients will be eligible to receive free educational information.
